Ferrite block magnets or ceramic block magnets as they are often called, were invented in the early to mid 1950’s. Ferrite magnets quickly became the preferred choice in magnets as they are relatively cheap and they offer a strong resistance to demagnetisation. Ferrite magnets or ceramic magnets offer excellent corrosion resistance and they are very hard and brittle. This makes them difficult to machine or drill. They also have a very good temperature tolerance with relative magnetic stability at temperatures of up to 250 Degrees Celsius.
Quantuam Magnetics offer a range of ceramic magnets in a range of shapes and sizes including ring magnets, round magnets, and shallow pot magnets. Contact us to find out more or to place an order today.
